We are getting close now, just under 400nm, so looking like we will get there early hours of Christmas morning, 1am or thereabouts.

We are still motoring and rolling like crazy, possibly there will be some favourable wind tomorrow but not holding my breath for that.

The last couple of days we have been creative and started making Christmas hats and crackers and generally getting into the Christmas spirit.

We have a short work day planned to get the boat squared away, and Ben is cooking us a Christmas lunch with all the trimmings.

It will probably be an overload as no one has eaten meat for the crossing, so this will be no doubt an over indulgence for our bodies, but a nice start.

This morning we caught 2 fish, the first a Dorado (Mahi Mahi), got away just as we were about to land it, but the second a great sized Wahoo we landed and is hanging up ready for fileting. Now we know what we are going to eat tonight.

Hopefully Ben can find the Sushi rice, which he has been looking for the last few days….

That’s all for now, probably until we arrive.

Merry Christmas……

Mat and the crew of J-H2
