Friday 3rd December

At 13:15 UK time we reached the half-way point in our journey – just 1530 nm to go! With a bit of luck we’ll go faster from now on so should get there 14^th -16^th, maybe.

In the evening we had a real celebration. Dan cracked open some champagne and  we had party food courtesy of Sue - Devil’s on Horseback, sandwiches, various finger-food and an orange syllabub cunningly served in the cut-down bottoms of plastic drinking bottles..

And to finish, we had a special ½ way cake!

To round off the day we watched a film (“This is England” – very good indeed) just as the sun was setting.
