We anchored on Coral bay at the Seven Spirits
Resort - an exclusive hunting and fishing resort that was undergoing a change of
management (Code for having gone broke!). Only two staff were there but they
gave us a tour of the grounds. They also sold us some fuel for the dinghy. We
were cautioned about crocodiles and venomous snakes along with spiders that were
harmful. The bungalows rented for $900 per night under previous management and
were going to rent for $300 a night under the new arrangement. Each room had an
outdoor toilet and no air conditioning in a very hot climate! The toilets were
open to the elements and spiders!!
We didn't do any swimming that day for obvious
reasons!! but had our friends from Fai Tira onto Moonshadow for some chips and
guacamole - made by David - along with boat drinks and stories of the
journey.
