We really enjoyed our short stay in Bonaire. It is a beautiful undeveloped island just above sea level with strong enviromental controls. Yachts are allowed to moor in only one bay and anchoring is forbidden to protect the coral fringing reefs which surround the whole island. Snorkelling off the back of the boat was magical , like being in an aquarium. A moray eel had made his home between the concrete blocks on the seabed that supplied our mooring lines. Our overnight passage to Aruba was without incident and we had a smiling moon to cheer us along.
