Though the weather has been cool & rainy we have enjoyed our stay in Raratonga .The islanders are very welcoming & stop by the harbour to shout out greetings & small boys dive into the water with whoops of glee. Peter hiked across the centre of the island through the rain forest & we also cycled around the perimeter which took about three hours & saw market gardens bursting with fruit & vegetables & stopped to watch a rugby match. There is a strong New Zealand influence here, its very relaxed & there are signs saying " Get your Tucker here"
