We are spending two weeks at this excellent
boatyard preparing Moonshadow for her long voyage to New Zealand. The
floorboards have been up more times than I can count and engine, generator,
watermaker and gas cooker have all needed spare parts and servicing. The most
exciting thing to happen was the EARTHQUAKE. 7.3 on the Richter Scale and the
epicentre only 120 miles south of us. First the boat began to rock then we went
on deck to see cars on shore shaking like jellies. Luckily no damage was done to
the island.
