Well who said this was going to be a picnic. Our second night of 30 knot winds – the sea is quite big now and we all struggled with only an hours sleep at best last night. Given the conditions spirits are high. Jeff rose this morning and tried to light the stove with a potato peeler (which gave us a laugh). We are making very good progress on the positive – the boat is taking it all in its stride and with any luck we will be through this sometime tomorrow. I have new found admiration for the Vendee sailors.
