As we pasted the same latitude as the most southern point on mainland Europe we noticed a distinct drop in the amount of traffic sighted. Not only has the traffic dropped, but also the amount of wildlife. I don't think we saw a single dolphin yesterday. Last night we saw our first bit of rain since crossing the channel to Roscoff and the clouds this morning showed signs of fronts passing behind us which is feeding us a constant breeze. As we cross the Siene Abyssal Plain, we hope to pick up the southerly flowing "Canary Current" which will propel us down towards Lanzarote for some well deserved Tapas and Tropical Beer. The north tip of the island is only 310nm away so we hope to be in Rubicon Marina (down the southern end) late on the 28th July.
