yesterday evening saw us continued to surf south along the Portuguese coast, well out to sea we were unable to see the wonders of the coast line as we chomped away at the miles as I came on watch I poled out the jib to starboard headed down wind sheeting the main in a little spilling the wind from the main into the jib, with 18knts behind us we managed a respectful 8.2knts at times. the heady speeds of my last nights Gosse wing alluding us (night of the 22nd ). but as time goes on and the night draws in the wind ebbs away at first light we lulling in 5 knts of wind and its time to feed the iron horse, Cascais is are heading for supplies and a shower, as we close on the Portuguese coast the first signs of heading south come into site, the terracotta roofs topping white washed building the small fishing boats casting their  nets across out path high mountain ranges boarder the coast. ( bearing in mind we all come from a country where a bolder on a mole hill constitutes a mountain) Cascais is just around corner and the chance for a brief step ashore. so as its my day to be mother is better get back to the stove and see what I can produce from what we have left.
