We have been on the same course now for a few days and the last vessel we saw was the one we nearly collided with. The days are starting to merge into one, as the weather becomes more consistent. We took out reef 2 which we had put in after the reef 1 line snapped, and by the end of the day we'd even shaken out reef 1 to show our full main sail for the first time of the trip. We are very much into the swing of our routine.

Each crew member has their turn being 'Mother' once every 4 days for 24hrs. During this time the crew is relieved from all normal deck watch keeping duties to tend to the 'house keeping' on board. Washing, Cooking, cleaning and bilge checks are just a hand full of the jobs Mother has to get done throughout their watch. Today was Minkey's turn to be 'Mother'. Now, we're still not sure what time zone he thinks we're in, but Porridge was served just after midday, lunch (Ham and Sweet Chilli wraps) were served at 1700hrs and dinner (a lovely veg curry) was served a couple of hours later! The much confused crew won't let him live this one down should he complain about anyone else's Mothering skills!

We're enjoying these somewhat easier conditions allowing us to get some much needed rest, and Mike even tested out the solar shower! We continue to make good progress towards St. Lucia and hope to be at the halfway point shortly.
