Yacht Hollinsclough 55 south

Ten days of paperwork to leave Chile, then stamped and done, all west Mackinlay passage, called Snipe station on the VHF and made a right turn to pass 55 South at 14.30 28th January.

All south for Puerto Toro very sheltered bay, big new pier to tie alongside, water on tap and 16A electricity, all free of charge and not fifty miles north of Cape Horn.   55.04.90S 67.04.50W

Was it here for Magellan? Toro is one of the earliest settlements of Tiera del Fuego, today there is still no tarmac, maybe fifty tin houses, a good number of satellite dishes and an Armada Navy office to get our diary stamps.
