Diesel was low and so it was on Sunday 22nd Fernando piloted us out of the bay of San Julien in his smart red excursion rib. The GPS chart mismatch was logged and emailed back to Blighty. The deep shores where the locals fished became a goodbye committee as everyone stood tall on the shore to wave and cheer as we passed by and turned out into deeper coastal water.

We ran down the coast making fifty south at four thirty local with good tide reasonably down wind. Roaring forties behind us we were in the screaming fifties.

Sunday 22nd February, Girl Guide World Thinking Day and we were Fifty South for four thirty local time and a pasty tea party to celebrate. 50.00.00 S  67.45.00 W

Bound for the capital of the district, Santa Cruz.
