Caleta Refuge, Wellington island, a three ship day.

Almost a traffic jam, two ships in a day! The Hergen, five hundred feet, south bound for Cabo Negro, AIS locked in and VHF to chat, ‘Wow! Ten thousand miles out of England, good luck and good winds’

Next big number for our dial was fifty zero south. Returning to the roaring forties we left the screaming fifties behind at three o’clock local, wild seals hunting for fish as an escort.

Our evening anchorage Caleta Refuge. Well protected with thick wooded shores on the island of Wellington. We anchored bow to the waterfall set into wind. 49.52.60 S 74.25.00 W

Two ships in a day, today was three, the four hundred foot Russian Antarctic explorer vessel Yuzhmorgeologiya passed by our anchorage before sunset. He forwarded our position to the Armada and commented what fun for us to have the whole family aboard.
