Town of Quellon, island of Chiloe  43.07.40 S  73.37.13 W

Soft rolling countryside on aproach through canal Laitec, almost the hills of Derbyshire, houses, catle and fishing boats all about. The town of Quellon, eight thousand people, roads, cars, taxi and bus, golly we had not seen the like since Punta Arenas nore than a month ago.

People everywhere, supermarkets with sliced bread, cake and marshmallows. Chocolate, tea and coffee. Pizza for dinner and a great hardware store for bits and pieces.

Anchored of the town quay, dozens of fishing boats and an Esso garage for dingy petrol.
