Hollinsclough - Is the World Round?
Wed 7 May 2008 10:19

Wednesday May 7th

Wednesday Coronation Street, not seven thirty yet but coming on ten degrees for mid day. A ship twenty miles to our East heading for the Netherlands. Have seen no traffic  on this trip other than the computer. Suspect in the heat haze we have little more than five to six miles visability. Clouds in by sunlight, a very muggy morning, sea temperature at 32 degrees, pressure up and down but nothing much and around 1014 just now. Rig not moved, jib sheet damage where it has sat for two days on the block so let out a little and subsequently moved everything a touch. North winds a tiny bit east and swell still from North but down to 2m. A big poled jib, all the cutter on the same side and a quarter main soft.
