Fifteen thousand miles on the log.

Hollinsclough - Is the World Round?
Sat 20 Mar 2010 14:26

Friday evening no party time deep south Atlantic

A long dark good sail on steady 25 plus wind, running as much as one hundred and twenty degrees for stability. A little too far south, The Antarctic convergence zone of ice cold southern water chilled the evening. Radar scanner on three miles for ice berg watch.

Around midnight Friday March 20th we recorded fifteen thousand miles on the distance log for this world tour trip of adventures to find if the World really is round.

Happy to see six AM Saturday morning sunrise, tacked to port at fifty three and a half south. Smoother ride but very confused waters. Grey and cold, a little drizzle but cheered up by biscuits and coffee.

Saturday twelve local Falklands Time. 53.22.50 S   45.00.50 W

110 miles west of Shag Rocks which we are looking to run north of.
