The North Atlantic continues to kick us around.
I have bruises on bruises. Melvin got tossed yesterday and hit his head,
luckely, anywhere else and he may have been hurt.
I have already mentioned how wonderful this hull
performs out here in the seas of the North Atlantic.
The Henry Wood is a classic designed sloop
(single mast) she is 40 years old and weighs about 10 ton.
Being of classic design,some of you ladies may
be envious, she has a small stern (rear).
They tell me it helps when sailing in following
seas. Seas coming from the back. I have to believe this as this is the only seas
we have had since leaving Horta. She drops down into a trough and 20 feet plus
waves following us seem to just disolve under the stern. As for me I'd settle
for a little less "classic salty stuff" just give me a large state room and a
stand up shower.
It's now one week since we left Horta and 540
miles to Ireland . I think it's to early to predict and arrival time, so stay
tuned!
We are however planning arrival in Glasson for
