Wow August already. None of the repair work has been started on the Henry Wood as of yet. Calls have been made from the UK to the company who will be installing the new engine, transmission etc. and as soon as the busy season draws to a close I'm sure the work will begin. The gentlemen (Maurice and Peter) who were to have met us upon our arrival in the Azores have invited me to join them for some sailing experience off the southern coast of Ireland (Cork). Let's hope their expertise will rub off on me as I'll be able to use all the help I can get when we put to sea next May / June.

I went down to the boat to check on the condition of the batteries, bilges and condition in general and was joined by a few of my motorcycle club (The Retreads) members and would you believe some are even older than skipper Melvin.
