We arrived in a beautiful bay off the eastern side of the island (Pulau) of Lassia after a 50 mile/10 hour trip across from Simuelucut island. Very little wind, apart from during a couple of downpours, so essentially motored the whole way. At this rate we are going to have to take on quite a number of Jerry cans of diesel in Padang, our jumping off point for the crossing to Chagos.

Anyway, at least we won't need to take on loads of water. The water-maker is working well.

We will stay here a couple of nights. Teague has already climbed a coconut tree and pulled down 3 green coconuts. The water is very clear here - you can see down 40 feet easily. We plan to do a bit of snorkeling over the nearby reefs tomorrow.

We will then head to the town of Lahewa on the north end of Pula Nias.

That's it for now.

Neil, teague and mike.
