Day 16 Thu 31 May Arklow to Dunlaoghaire
This was to be a fairly civilised 45M trip so we left with the good northgoing tide at 1300 and made the entrance to Dublin Bay and the massive 820 berth marina of Dun Laoghaire at 1800 after a cloudy and drizzly motor trip. We deployed the radar some of the way as light fog descended. Having experienced the bizarre method of gate access in Kilmore Quay we were now fingerprinted (right and left index fingers) - a hlghly effective method with no numbers to forget - for access into the marina and all facilities. We enjoyed Evening Prayers at the right time for once, and walked into the small town for a recce. We found a good pub with free WiFi and also a Pizza takeaway, which we enjoyed aboard and retired, planning to visit the fleshpots of Dublin Town for the next day or two.
