Leigh and Benj made the most of a few hours without rain to scrub the hull ready for antifouling, painted rust primer on the stb side of the keel, and sprayed 1st coat of hard antifoul on the saildrive and prop. The whole process was made possible by the local water authority re-defining some of the authorised uses of a hose pipe during the ban in SE Britain, to include washing decks, which I defined as extending to below the waterline! However, it still needed a major effort as the marina tap is three long hose lengths away, and even with our joins the nozzle only just reached the bow! Anyway, phase one done, which is especially fortunate as heavy rain is forecast for the next two days! 20 days to go!
