We are now in Godhaven. We stayed in the last anchorage a bit longer than planned as it was very secure and the views of the bergs passing by outside of the bay were wonderful. It was only a short walk to Umunak so rather than go round by sea we walked over the hills. When we saw the amount of ice in the harbour we were so glad we had walked. See the photos! A boat called Dido’s Delight had joined us in “our” anchorage that is captained by Bob Shepton. An amazing character who has spent his life sailing and exploring. He was awarded the British sailor of the year award in 2013 (it has been given to the likes of Sir Ben Ainsle and Dame Ellen Mcarthur so he is in great company) He is sailing four extreme climbers around the area and they joined us for lunch and a sing song. They all play instruments and are very good. As you will see by our position on the map we are now heading south again. We made it to within a few hundred yards of 71 degrees north which is fine by us. I hope you like the photos and can work out from the blogs which refers to which! Trish and Nancy were very tempted to increase the crew by one puppy by the way !
