                | Day 2: 6 November 2010. Newton Ferrers, Devon, UK. N50
18.9 W004 02.6. Distance travelled 387 km The rain has cleared and today has been dry and mainly
sunny, just right for the trip down to Devon.  We left Emma's at 9030,
having said our goodbyes to Sam, Tom and Jake, loaded up with farewell presents,
and made our way to the M25, then M4.  Coffee on the way and then, once on
the A38 a homemade Cornish "oggie" for lunch.  We arrived at the wonderful
house of our sailing friends, John and Christine, alongside the river Yealm
at Newton Ferrers and had to engage low ratio to negotiate their incredibly
steep drive with our over-loaded Landy! We hadn't seen John and Christine since Antigua in 2008
so we spent the afternoon and evening catching up on sailing and family gossip
and then we all met up with our other sailing friends, Rudy and
Stephanie, for a delightful meal at the Ship Inn across the creek at Noss
Mayo. |
