Day 14: tetouan

Day 14. Hotel Malaga, Tetouan, same as
yesterday!
Although it is warm and sunny today we have decided to
stay put until tomorrow when the offices open after the holiday and we can buy
our insurance. After our brush with officialdom yesterday, we don't want to risk
driving uninsured and 2 days in a Moroccan jail.
Last night was a bit of a disaster, foodwise. We
went out after dark looking for a restaurant but found nothing open. It
was very cold and windy so we retired to bed, hungry! The car is locked
away in a secure compound, which is good, but it does mean that we can't cook
and we have masses of good things in the fridge.
This morning, when the sun had warmed up, we went for a
walk into the "new town", found a few cafes open and had a reasonable breakfast
and some very good coffee, then a walk around the few shops that were
open. Things seem much better than last night. We have a good power supply
in the room so Jenny is spending the afternoon editing.
We have no internet here and not a good enough view of
the sky for the Sat Phone to register, so I am going to take a walk in the park
and see if I can send this by Sat Phone.
