Hi all. the earthquake was interesting, 30 sec or so, woke us up on the boat, sounded like a badly out of tune diesel shaking the boat. Then the sirens went and we all came the the same conclusion. Stunamis warning.
We headed for the hills. The water was boiling in the harbour as we got into a ute for the drive up the hill.
The boat was left to her own devices. hit further down. the coast. So in short, were all good. But we are stuck here a little longer, as the town is shut down. no internet working or mobile phones. unconfirmed reports of 17 missing.
