After a tough 4-day, 600-mile passage from Nuku Hiva we arrived at the coral island of Rangiroa around daybreak. The crew did a fantastic job enduring gear breakage, storms a rough seas, especially Marisa and Sue, for whom this was their first ocean passage. We had to wait around for the tide to turn in order to enter the pass through the dangerous coral reef, but now we are rewarded by flat seas and crystal-clear water off a beautiful sandy beach.
