Winds picked up and we are now less than 120 miles from our destination at Rangiroa. The problem is that to arrive in daylight around the time of the tidal gate, we now need to slow way down. So we have now reduced sail to a partially rolled jib with no mainsail. We are still making 6 knots but it is frustratingly slow compared to what JOIA is capable of. To make matters worse, we have an uncomfortable rolling beam sea.
Still, we are all excited to make land again tomorrow morning.
