We got going at 1200 GMT on Tuesday 13 January 2015, with Harry and his
pals Mike and Pam waving goodbye from the refuelling dock. But not before
we has a team picture of us all in the cockpit of our home for the next 2 weeks
or more – the sturdy sailing vessel Ocean Science
from S to P – Mark, Teresa. Glennbo, Gregor, Ben and Ben
A bit of sailing after we left the marina but we are motoring at the
moment, having scythed though the passage between Lanzarote and
Fuerteventura. The boats in the classic race to Martinique are well ahead
of us, now in the open Atlantic, and we hear of promising trades of 25kn that
are giving them a speed of 10kn. It could be us soon.
Pip pip,
from a happy ship
