Yesterday was marginally better in terms of wind, although still fickle and we did fall into a couple of holes with not a breath of air. The cloud cover had been building after lunch and we could see rain clouds marching towards us... we were hoping wind would come with them, unfortunately it was the reverse. The little lift we had had early afternoon turned into nothing. So now we are not moving and getting wet in the process! Can't complain though, it is warm rain, and lasts just long enough to clean the deck.
We had some dolphins following us for a little while, little grey bullets, weaving in and out of our bow wave, first time this passage. Always a great pleasure to see them, these 4 were not very sociable, they circled us a few time and decided that we were no fun... not going fast enough for them, i am guessing. Hopefully we'll get to see more before we reach land. It is always a puzzlement, the sea from were we stand looks so barren, no great shoal of fish jumping about, very little bird life, we get to see a couple around daybreak and that's it. We do have our little maillot rayes fishes (striped jersey fish), they have been swimming by the wind vane rudder since we left, not very big and obviously hitching a ride on the pull of the rudder. And far too clever to fall for the lure at the end of the fishing rod.

Let's see what today brings.
