Get ready and then sail to Corfu – 15th to 23rd June 2008

Distance Covered:  75Nm

Finally back to Sailing, arrived on the boat on 15^th June it was in great condition considering that I had been away since November 2007.  It was my birthday on 16^th June so I celebrated in Barbate.

The week was spent working on the boat,  the Greeks have a siesta from 14:00 to 18:00 so jobs went a little slow.  The Auto-helm is finally working again J

The crew Roger and Mike arrived on 19^th June after a bit of a de-tour,  their flight was re-scheduled to an earlier time and they missed it.

We took the boat out of some sea trials on 21^st June and all seemed to be working well.

That evening we decided to lighten the load and have some hair cuts,  Hmmm,  I think mine was a bit close.

On 23^rd June we escaped the clutches of the wonderful Lefkas marina and headed to Corfu,we anchored in a place called Ay Stefanos, we stayed there overnight and had a great meal in a restaurant overlooking the bay.
