After our first leg with the rally since the Biscay crossing, we arrived at Povoa de Varzim on 12-6-2006.

As in every port there was a reception organised by the World Cruising Club.  These events were really brilliant, the one in Povoa de Varzim had live music and wine was even being handed out in the queue to the get the food.  Needless to say I was quite merry by the time I left.

On this day we sailed from Povoa de Varzim to Leixeos.  There was a prize giving in the evening and we won a bottle of Port for third place and having the closest guess of our arrival time.

There was a trip to Porto organised by the rally, we first called at the place where Taylor Port is made.  The tour was really interesting.

We sailed from Leixoes to Figuera da Foz.  It was a great sail and we had the Cruising chute up.

It was my birthday and in the evening there was a Sardine BBQ and wine was served by the Keg.  The rally sang happy birthday.
