Sunday 23 May. Wonderful sunny weather.  Sam arrived in Brevik by bus from Torp, and off through the skerries inshore passage, where we found an open supermarket at Valle. Loaded up with Norwegian goodies we headed past Kragero for Portor, where the GG family have their summer huts. There we moored up to the Cruising Club buoy, pumped up the rubber duck and headed ashore for a bbq on the rocks.  The little outboard started first pull!  When was it last used???

Monday 24 May.  Up at crack of dawn, 05.30, to go cod fishing on the moraine reef off Portor.  Depth goes from 40 to 15 metres with the bottom a mass of glacial boulders.  Engine off and let the boat drift, whilst jigging with a heavy silver lure.  Unable to get more than one line going as the cod were hitting the lure as fast as we could throw it over the side.  Four cod in 5 minutes.  Had to stop fishing, as that was all that was needed for supper. Sailed into Risor, a lovely historic harbour, and moored alongside. Goodbye to Anne-Cathrine, who took the bus home to Tonsberg.
