Can they do it? Is it possible? How strong is their resolve?
260 nautical miles from the archipelago of Madeira and a Wifi signal, can
the pull of checking email and messages be resisted?
Who will win the Tortoise or The Hare?
Having settled into a lumbering tortoise routine of a little less caffeine,
a daily post lunch nap, some yoga and plenty of gentle marvelling at the
magic of nature, can the Hare be left behind for the 3 or 4 days remaining
days before re-joining the race?
Louis has set the no tech/no check challenge and Jono is agonizingly
debating its relative merits. Eddie will enter the race for one lap, hoping
to easily regain his "tortoisly" composure. Sabine will What's App her
family and no more (but she left the race months ago). Stuart, slowly making
his way around the track (boat), lovingly polishing the topsides, availing
of the calm seas, may cast an eye as the Hare dashes by.
Carefully separating plastic, metal, cardboard and compost, with intricate
attention to detail, macerating all into its smallest possible morsels, we
are at peace.
No Hares allowed please!
