Moored in a bay called Batikkaya Buku, a small peninsular
North West of Fethiye and a popular campsite for local Turkish families.
Lovely hot sunny day and calm glassy sea so after 2 swims took the bikes ashore
and cycled around the peninsular into Fehiye passing the many Marinas and the
ancient amphitheatre into the Bazar area of the old Town where a gentleman
called Ali (just for a change!) gave his recommendation of a typically Turkish
restaurant run by 2 ladies, he insisted on joining us for an excellent meal of
Meze and Shish. Afterwards the owner's daughter took us to show us the
fish and vegetable markets where you can chose any fish and have it cooked and
served for you at one of the restaurants there for 5TL about 2.00 pounds.
Cycled back round peninsular to the bay just before
dark.
