Which means that if I can go reasonably direct (which is highly unlikely) to Horta (Azores) then I am half way there!

Pretty straightforward day .. Just keep going as fast as possible on a beam reach ... So a day of look at the wave that had just gone by as the boat heeled even more because of going up the side of the next wave ... up and a good sea view ... of waves! .. then inspect the sky as sliding down the other side ... And all in a flurry of foam from the bow wave... Good exercise even when doing nothing!

Wind was beginning to drop by the evening .. so would only get lighter during the night .. so full genny but kept both reefs in as I fancied a good nights sleep (been a lot going on the previous 2 nights so as now we were losing the wind .. so what) which I did. By mornig shook out reefs and only doing 6 knots .. but could see lots of heavy rain appearing from astern .. not a bright start to a new day!
