Well this is our last stop before heading back to Linton tomorrow. We left Coco Bandero this morning at 7am and motor sailed to Porvenir where we visited the Port Captain & got our Zarpe (an authorisation to leave the San Blas and travel to Shelter Bay). We took the dinghy across to the village island of Wichubhuala and bought onions, eggs, milk, juice and cereal (enough to get us through until Monday when we will go into Colon on the bus). We saw our first sea snake today, swimming in the shallows near the jetty at Porvenir. It was small and a creamy, yellow. 2 dolphins had a brief play on our bow during our journey today and we caught a tuna on a lure we were trolling (dinner tonight). As soon as we were anchored in Chichime Didihana & Melana came over to the boat calling John's name from half way across the lagoon. It was good to see them although the conversation was a bit limited due to the spanish/english issue. We will leave early tomorrow (weather permitting) as it will take us around 8 hours to get to Linton. We have really enjoyed these few months in the San Blas. It is a magnificent part of the world with friendly faces and lots of lovely seafood.
