It's not a bad life....
El Vagabond

Whilst El Vagabond has been safely tied up in
Durban Marina, we have been enjoying ourselves exploring Zululand.
Within a few days of our arrival we managed to find
a private Game Reserve where we could stay with the dogs which was absolutely
fantastic. After 2 months at sea, we all deserved some "Landtime" so we drove
about 4 hours from Durban where Basil spent 5 days enjoying
himself teasing the Giraffes while Vicki relaxed in the Jacuzzi and watched
the Wildebeests, Bison, Warthogs etc running around on our
doorstep .....
This was followed by Christmas week which was
mainly spent enjoying the wonderful food prepared by the Royal Natal Yacht Club
including a full Christmas Eve Buffet Lunch which we enjoyed with some fellow
OCC members. Sadly, the Club wasn't open on Christmas Day so Vicki cooked
a traditional Christmas Lunch instead. We definitely need to go back on a
diet pretty soon......
Then we were off to the Battlefields area for New
Year to visit Isandlwana, Rorke's Drift and Blood River. Another amazing
trip. We did, of course, watch Zulu again upon our return !!!
It is now time to move on and it looks like we will
have a weatherbox to leave here tomorrow to head around to Port Elizabeth - a
trip of about 400 miles.
Overall, not a bad start to the South African
part of our Honeymoon !!!
