After blasting along all night and expecting the wind to get up as the day progressed, quite the opposite as for the last 4 hours been in 9 knots or less with wind behind doing just 4 knots when routing indicates we should be doing 7.5 knots. Ah well I suspect these supercomputers with all their models still do not know what happens in teh middle of the ocean where there is a lack of observation stations to correct errors. Pretty sure the wind will come of 20 knots and gusts in excess of 30 in the next 36 hours lasting for about 24 hours. 795nm to go, 145 nm

No extra jobs done today just resting as when the wind gets here we may have to do more work if Harold cannot cope with the 3 meter waves with a period of 5.5 seconds.

Have not seen the lone bird today flying around and only a couple of flyng fish doing their business. Last night when John on watch one did hit the sprayhood and then seen still alive in the cockpit. He did wonder what had happened after hearing a thud. It was helped back into the sea.

Dinner tonight beef casserole, mashed potato, cheese, fresh baguette followed by fruit cocktail (tinned) in juice.
