Gouvia Marina 21^st  - 23^rd August

Vroulias Bay 23^rd -24^th August

We arrived back in Corfu on the 21^st of August accompanied by our sailing friend Amanda Wilson from New Zealand. We spent a few days getting the boat sorted out ready for our sail to Italy which included stocking up on fresh food at Lidl and the AB supermarket near the marina. The boat was fine with no issues just a bit dusty so a quick wash down was accomplished easily. Amanda hadn’t been to Corfu so we went in to the town on the local bus and did a bit of sight-seeing as well as getting the wifi topped up. It was very hot and we made good use of the swimming pool at the marina. We went to the Elvis tribute night again at the hotel near bye and all enjoyed a good laugh.

On Saturday we bade farewell to Gouvia took fuel at the fuel station and headed north for a good anchorage near to Kassopia. We motored all the way and were soon anchored in 8 meters and ready for a swim! This was to be our ‘jumping off’ point for Italy via the tiny island of Othoni. We had a peaceful night and left the bay at 0630 for our 25 mile trip to Othoni.
