On the hard standing.
We flew back to Turkey on the 4th of April and arrived at 0115 to pouring
rain.Fortunately we had booked a room at the marina to avoid having to
grope around in the dark - climb a steep ladder, re-connect batteries,
make up the bed etc. etc.The following day we got unpacked and made a
start to the long job list.
The weather cheered up and we were able to crack on with everything and as
of today - Wednesday 11th we have cleaned and sealed the decks, applied
one coat of anti-foul, had the battery charger repaired and
re-fitted,polished the hull, sorted out a repair man for the passerelle,
(it goes off tonight)received the repaired cockpit spray hood and
re-fitted it. so all in all things are going well. We now hope to
re-launch earlier than the booked date of 21st of April.
It has been great to catch up with our sailing friends who are based here
- in particular June and Steve on Piper who have been here most of the
winter. They even gave us a meal on board on our first night which was
just so kind.
