10 hours now (@10.36 UTC) of wind between 0 and 3
knots.  Several hours run of only 1 to 2 knots distance.  The forecast
told us we would have 8 to 16 knots - seems weather forecasts are as unreliable
here as everywhere else!!  However we had a really good sail yesterday
during the afternoon and evening so our average isn't too bad.
Partial results on the fishing.  Andrew's rod bent
before lunch and he lost all new lures, line and weight.  2 hours later
Roger the cabin boy was in luck when he caught a large green and yellow fish (
is it a mahi mahi?) They got it alongside but didnt manage to land it.
Photo to prove it!!  They later lost both lures as they were wrenched off
by sea predators.  They gave up for the day, Celia put the frying pan away
and it was pizza and salad for dinner.
It was an exceptionally frustrating night trying to sail
and drift towards St Lucia - hopefully we will make it in time for Christmas
this year!
When the sun was up George the deckhand donned mask and
snorkel and was sent to check the propeller for obstructions, all clear so
engine then put on.
Keeping fingers crossed for more wind - preferably in
the right direction!!!
