Today at about half seven in the morning we set sail to Santa Maria, we sailed here to get away from the wind which is going to be gusting at forty one knots!! We motored slowly out of the anchorage, soon after we had eaten our breakfast (which we where eating on the sail) Daddy started to polish the rust off the bow. Whilst Daddy was polishing we past a few fishing boats, because they where coming our way we had to give way to them (change course). The land which we sailed past was very mountainous, the land had loads of cliffs and mountains along its coast. The sea was very calm but there was quite a lot of wind being blown at us, as we where motoring we saw a helicopter which I thought was on patrol looking for people who need help. Just before lunch we made water with our water maker, we made water for about two hours. After we had eaten lunch and when we had cleared away we put up the main so the boat wouldn’t roll over the waves so much. Soon after we had put up the main we motor sailed through a nature reserve, you have to keep two kilometres off the mountainous shore!! When we had sailed through here we began to do homework.

When we got to Santa Maria Daddy tried to radio the marina, he radioed once and he then waited a minute he then went on to a different channel and he radioed again after a long ten  minutes we were moored up. After we had tidied our things away we had our tea, up stairs we ate our dinner on the cockpit table which is in the cockpit. After we had eaten our dinner and when we had cleared our things away I went into my room and I read my book, The Atlantic children part one.
