New location ST THOMAS VIRGIN ISLANDS

Well 2nd day in the USVI (st thomas) and our first night was early to bed
after dinner with a few drinks (pictures of bar below in our hotel) very
cool - Today has been a case of getting Anna some shorts from KMART
(anyone
in the UK, this is ASDA at its best) then on to bikini shop. My recompense
for all this shopping was a trip to "Hooters" for lunch; nice burger and
fries (chips).
A long walk around the "Yacht Harbour" - basically this is where all the
ships come in and deposit large gatherings of tourist at Diamond shops and
overpriced eateries -fun for the day but not what we came to the Caribbean
for, that is for sure!
We got all excited last night when a large ship came in to the Harbour
with
lots of yachts onboard but was dashed when we found out that this had come
from Florida and did not have our yacht on board which was a great shame!
She is still due this Friday I hope!

Weather here is cloudy and hot with occasional rain showers - Last night
we
awoke around 12 and heard the noisiest Diesel engine running which we put
down to the hotel generator kicking in and all the power went down for a
few
minutes - I think the power station was hit with yet more enormous down
pours of rain...

Tomorrow we are heading to see the customs guys and see if they are all
ready for the arrival of the boat on Friday! all seems very slow pace here
but that is what we came for so "no rush"!!
