Apparently this did not get sent this morning
All well on Truant, motoring along in flat seas, Yesterday we had a good
interior clean of the boat and made plenty of water, today we may give the
decks a clean.
We are c. 100 miles from Gibraltar now and during the night the surrounding
water became alive with ships, as we write this, there are 17 ships on the
Radar and AIS, having seen little for so long, For Paul Julius and I this is
our 20th day at sea, Giles 6th. Last night we had a bottle of champagne to
celebrate half way between Horta and Palma, it immediately went to our heads
as we have not had a drink for a while and the noise levels were raised a
little - no dolphins visited last night.
We will go through the Gibraltar straights tonight and then we are in the
Mediterranean.
Wind forecast is for light winds from the west which suits us perfectly as
we do not want to encounter a Mistral or Levante as we go up toward Ibiza,
some discussion from the crew about a stop in Ibiza for a party..
We have taken to watching Fargo between 7 and 8 in the evening and so some
of us go off watch now have nightmares..
