Bowdidges and PSV

It seems a lot longer than 9 days since we arrived. We spent 4 nights in Port Louis Marina, Grenada. Bart left after an island tour and a lot of mechanical work. The mainsail had to come off and be mended after problems with the battons; we glued one of those together ourselves. The freezer chap added some kit & all seems better there; we tightened up the steering cables. The weather turned rainy and windy for several days & the run up to Carriacou was a bit of a motoring bash. We cleared out of Grenada & Carriacou, then cleared into Customs and Immigration for the Grenadines in Union Island. That enabled us to go across to Petit St Vincent where James & Lynne Bowdidge were staying on holiday. PSV is a lovely hotel island and home of the Leaping Lizard cocktail, more or less a Pina Colada with Creme de Menthe. This was a must-have item for us, as it was our celebration tipple with Paul Davies & the children when we completed our circumnavigation in 1999. They still taste just as good.

The Bowdidges came on board for a couple of day trips, to Chatham in Union Island; then to Tobago Cays, coming back via Mayreau and Palm Island. All very cheery.
