We set off from Grenada to sail north to Tyrell Bay on Grenada's sister island of Carriacou where we spent 2 nights enjoying this quiet island. We had a fun evening on Ghost with our friends from Team Norway; Erling, Harold and Henry - 3 vikings who were determined to eat, at least, their fair share of Caribbean lobster. Thankfully they were prepared to slum it for an evening with us and we dined on calaloo soup, a Grenadian speciality and beef fillet from South Africa washed down with some fine wine from the same country. No dinner is complete without a late evening sniff-ter of M. Gimet's finest which has certainly not suffered for its circumnavigation.

From Carriacou we sailed to Union Island where we spent 3 nights enjoying the busy town of Clifton. We checked in with customs and immigration at the airport and were offered tomatoes for sale by the custom's officer ... obviously. He was extremely proud of his produce and quite rightly so. There is an area inside the reef at Union Island where they have set up a kite boarding school. Tim had a couple of sessions in Lanzarote and another in Bora Bora but that was almost a year ago. The temptation was too great - he had to have a go. They have set the place up brilliantly as there is a bar and several large beds to laze around on so that non- partakers can enjoy the thrills and spills of others. Tim was taken off to an area behind Frigate Island with his own private instructor whilst I enjoyed a leisurely breakfast and some internet time in the town. We met again after a few hours when Tim returned having swallowed gallons and gallons of sea. He had also managed some fairly spectacular flying falls which were extremely painful! The following morning he was in agony to the point where I insisted we stay another day. We spent a very pleasant lunch at Sparrows Beach bar on the other side of the island with a chance for Tim to rest his aching limbs.
