Las Perlas are the most amazing islands. So far we’ve visited three anchorages, all full of life with butterflies, pelicans, frigate birds, not to mention the amazing birds of prey that are continuously riding the currents over these little islands. It really does feel very unspoilt and with the huge tide, the beach that looks so idyllic when we turn up becomes a mangrove island within a couple of hours. Or visa versa!

We’ve come a little north today to be closer to the rendezvous tomorrow at Contadora. All the boats are getting together for a BBQ and to prepare for the passage to the Galapagos. There’s very little to do as there is no possibility of getting fuel or any food for the trip, all of that having been done in Panama city.
