You’re wondering what we do all day?

How to clean teeth (or do the heads have a sole)

Brace against the bulkhead contorting body into 90 degree angle bent from waist.  Grip handbasin. Take top off toothpaste.  Put top down on basin.  Top rolls onto floor.  Grip handbasin .  Manoeuvre body slowly backwards until back against the wall.  Slide slowly down wall until within reach of toothpaste top.  Consider next move.  Wait until rolling of boat sends top within reach.  Squatting  on sole of heads (the floor to you) wait for opposite heel to aid ascent.  Propelled upwards.  Grab handbasin.  Resume braced position at 90 degree angle.  Squirt toothpaste onto brush, put toothpaste safely on shelf and scrub toothpaste into foam.  Hear screeching tones of Man Overboard signal.  Ignore it. Man Overboard signal still screeching. Slight pangs of disquiet.  Keep brushing and listening.  Guilty thought... What if......  Panic.  Rush from heads, mouth foaming to see rest of crew blissfully hoisting cruising chute of foredeck.  Sneak back to heads, resume position and finish cleaning teeth.  Will leave flossing for another day.
