So we got off to a great start yesterday. The whole team was in race mode for the first two hours or so and then the cruising started. David's worked out an extremely scientific formular to organize the watches, so far so good. We were doing very well yesterday, considering the wind, or lack thereof. We sped away from some similar boats and even caught up to some of the bigger oysters in the late afternoon. Unfortunately, the wind died on us and darkness meant that we had to drop the cruising shute (not as easy in the dark).

After we'd got the cruising shute down, the generator packed up, no generator - no watermaker! So we fiddled around with it and our Super Skipper did a systems check (He loves the checks) and found the problem. The night was spent trying to keep any sort of resonable speed up, not very successfully though. This morning's been good, David and I rigged up a Goose-wing setup so we're back on course down wind at 7-8 knots and loving it.

While we were rigging the Goose-neck our Super Skipper Mechanic repaired the cooling system on the generator, so the watermaker is back on line. Shower!! :)
Today is also the skipper's day in the kitchen so we're all looking forward to what he's got in store for lunch and dinner.

The sun is shinning, the wind is blowing and sea is calm, sometimes I just sits and smiles.

Lots of love to the land folk... Reece ( Deck -hand... only one hand)
