Well we have survived 3000 nm(nm means nautical miles) of the Pacific since leaving the Galapagos 20 days ago, caught and eat some interesting fish including the 5ft Marlin, which we are still eating.Survived a real blast last night 35 knts from nowhere and a 180% wind shift that was Alan's watch but it got us all up to preside over the chaos to get the boat and sails under control but most of all we survived each other.

With the imminent prospect of dry land, a cold beer, and a bed that doesn't move ,well not to much at anchor, there is an air of utter joy and expectation,I keep telling them that land is no good, you spend money ,get drunk and eat to much but they won't listen .

We are all having showers today as the prospect of a meal in the hotel looms no doubt there will also be a few drinks around but what the heck its time to live a little.

Its been a long voyage the longest that we will have for the whole trip and as I said to Ellie there will not be many if any people that you will meet in your life who have sailed the Pacific this part at any event. That's all for now 10nm to go.
